Government funding

Acorn Montessori is a Term Time Pre-School, open for 3 terms per year (36 weeks), averaging 12 weeks per term. We accept children 2.3 years old until their leave to join their Reception Class at the School of their choice. 

Fees are invoiced at the start of each term for the term, and are payable within one week from receipt of invoice. If you would prefer to pay in 2 instalments, please let us know. Late payments may incur a late payment charge.

We are registered with a number of voucher schemes including the government childcare scheme. Please let us know in advance if you are to pay by one of these methods. 

Funding:

We are an Ofsted regulated, funded Montessori Nursery School and we currently offer some funded places in our morning, afternoon and full day sessions.

Universal Funding:

The term after your child turns 3 years old, they will become eligible for Universal 15 hours funding.  A government code is not required. 

30 Hour Funding/Working Parent funding:

Some families, based on circumstances, will be eligible for 30-hour Government Funding or Working Parents funding. Please check your eligibility at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ or see below.

If you are eligible for this funding you are required to apply and then provide us with your eligibility code and National Insurance Number in advance. Eligibility codes must be applied for before the start of the qualifying term as below:

Birth Date -  1st January to 31st March: Funding Begins - Summer Term (April)

Birth Date - 1st April to 31st August: Funding Begins - Autumn Term (September)

Birth Date - 1st September to 31st December: Funding Begins - Spring Term (January)

Our funded sessions are a minimum of 3 hours in duration, so when your child receives funding, they will increase to 3-hour sessions including a lunch period. 

Without a valid eligibility code, or Universal Funding, the unfunded standard rates will be applied for your booked sessions.
